Liriope muscari 'Amethyst' is a brilliantly tough, low maintenance clumping perennial plant with deep purple flowers held high above the deep green foliage. It suits a wide range of conditions, from sun to deep shade, most soils, and will grow from cold areas to humid warm climates. A good plant for massed planting, and great for banks, for garden edgings and driveway gardens and low maintenance container growing. Rarely troubled by pests or diseases.

Plant in a well dug soil and keep moist till established. Mulch to keep weed growth down. Cut back foliage hard once a year if needed to keep the plant looking fresh, new leaves will sprout from the underground fibrous root system.
